Abstract

|
Cystosarcoma phyllodes which was first described in 1838 by Miller is a rare variant of fibroadenoma often referred to as a giant fibroadenoma. Most of these tumors are benign, but a few develop true sarcomatous potential. And it occur most commonly in women in an age group between that of the peak incidence of fibroadenoma and that of the peak incidence of breast carcinoma.
Two cases of these tumors, both of which are teenager, were treated and those are presented in this article with their clinical manifestations, incidence, diagnosis, malignant potential, surgical managements, and with a brief review of literature.
